Chetan Bhagat is one of the most renowned authors of India who has a huge fanbase. His books Five Point Someone, Two States and Half Girlfriend were received well among fans and they even had movie adaptations which was also had good reception.
His book Five Point Someone was adapted to screen as the Rajkumar Hirani-directed 2009 film 3 Idiots which went on to become highly successful. This Aamir Khan-starrer was remade in Tamil by Shankar as Nanban starring our Thalapathy Vijay, jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana, Sathyaraj and others.
This movie was successful and it also showed Vijay in a very different role which was loved by audiences. In a recent exclusive interview to Behindwoods, Chetan Bhagat shared some unknown stories about Vijay’s Nanban. He said,”I watched the film Nanban which was made by one of the finest directors Shankar and I liked it but only I watched it with subtitles.”
