"VANAKKAM MAPLA. JAPAN LA IRUNTHU" - TRAILER UPDATE FROM SHIVA'S NEXT RELEASING WITH SUPERSTAR'S DARBAR!

The actor is currently engaged with his next project titled Sumo. As the title suggests, the film is said to be based on Sumo wrestling. Directed by S.P. Hosimen, the film features Priya Anand as the leading lady. Major portions of the film were shot in Japan and Chennai.

'Sumo' is bankrolled by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner Vels Film International, the fun-filled trailer will be releasing on Dec 10th on the occasion of Agila Ulaga Superstar, Shiva’s birthday.  The creators have released a new poster with the lines of recent tik-tok sensation, with a twist. "Vanakkam da mapla... Japan la irunthu... Pongal saapda varom" reads the poster. Check out the tweet, below:

The film features songs and background score composed by Nivas K. Prasanna and has Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh in crucial roles. Sumo is shot by ace lensman and acclaimed National Award-winning filmmaker, Rajiv Menon. It is mentionable that Superstar's much-awaited Darbar is also releasing for Pongal 2020.
