Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj is having a fantastic run at the box office with packed shows and the Pongal festival weekend has been an added advantage.
Meanwhile, renowned producer Tiruppur Subramaniam has officially stated that this Karthik Subbaraj directorial will cross 100 Crores collection in Tamil Nadu alone by January 20 (Sunday).
Talking to the press and the media, Tiruppur Subramaniam said, "By this Sunday, Petta will collect more than Rs 100 crores in just Tamil Nadu and it will also be the first ever Tamil film to get 100 crores just in Tamil Nadu, without including other areas or countries.
This is the actual and the authentic report that is coming from the Distributors Association. Petta is a very big success at the box office. The theatre owners, distributors and the producers are very much happy with the performance of the film."
Later in the day, the distributor of Viswasam, KJR Studios officially announced that the Ajith starrer collected 125 crores in Tamil Nadu by yesterday (January 17).
