It was revealed only a few days back that reports arrived and declared him healthy and fit to travel. Fans were eagerly waiting for his return and praying for his good health, while getting ready to welcome him back.
After a month-long medical visit, the 'Thalaivar' is back in Chennai and first pictures of his return from the US is going viral on social media. From cheering him with 'Thalaiva' chants to playing 'Baasha' music in the background, fans gave him a rousing welcome at the Chennai airport. In a viral video that was circulating on the internet, he was seen walking amidst heavy security.

After taking rest for a few days, Rajinikanth is set to start resuming work for his upcoming movie 'Annaatthe'. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and also stars Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh and Prakash Raj. D Imman has composed the music. The first look poster was released recently and makers have confirmed that the movie is releasing for this Diwali on November 4.
