Actor Simbu's mother opened up about the issue between the actor and the producers' council in a recent video and said, "Everytime there is an issue. They say they will stop the shoot of Silambarasan's movie for sure. The same issue happened during 'Eeswaran' shoot. For every movie we go and talk, clear the issues. The shoot of VTK also started after a great struggle, but they deny all allegations."

Stating that the Tamil Nadu Thiraipada Thayaripalargal Sangam was created because of the politics that they play, Usha also said that they state influences with Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin if any complaint is raised.

"Vishal said Michael Rayappan, producer of 'Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan' (2017) incurred losses after release, so Simbu has to act in a movie for free or he has to give him 2.40 crores for every movie as fine. He has done it without Simbu permission or mine. Is he the Supreme Court judge? Is there no appeal for this," Usha said.

The Tamil Film Producers Council recently announced that it is completely breaking ties with the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI). FEFSI head RK Selvamani blamed Simbu for the troubled ties as the reason for the split.
