Actor Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his maiden international venture, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. Directed by Ken Scott, the film is based on the award-winning bestseller 'The Extraordinaru Journey of the Fakir who Got Trapped in an IKEA Wardrobe' by Romain Puertolas. Dhanush plays the male lead in the film.
The film will be dubbed and released in several Indian languages. The Tamil version is titled 'Pakkiri' and its trailer was released on 4th June. Dhanush plays the role of a street magician and a con artist who goes to Paris in search of his father. In the Tamil version, the protagonists' name is 'Raja Kumaraguru Lakshmipathy', whereas in the international version, the character is named as 'Ajatashatru Lavash Patel'.
The film spans across various locales and promises a lot of thrilling adventure. Apart from the male lead, Pakkiri also stars Luc Bossi, Jon Goldman, Saurabh Gupta, Aditi Anand and Gulzar Chahal in crucial roles. The film is bankrolled by Brio Films, M! Capital Ventures, Little Red Car Films, TF1 Studios. The Tamil version will be presented by YNOTX.
