Actress Nithya Menen is known for her offbeat choice of roles, and was last seen in the V.K Prakash-directed experimental film Praana, in which the actress played the only character of the film. The film was received with a lot of acclaim from critics and audiences for its unique concept.
The actress is back with her next. Titled 'Kolambi', the film is written and directed by TK Rajeevkumar and the starcast includes Renji Panicker, Rohini, Dilesh Pothan and others in crucial supporting roles. Popular playback singer Vijay Yesudas has also starred in the film. The film is shot in an unique aspect ratio.
Kolambi is produced by Roopesh Omana under the banner Nirmalyam Cinema. The film is shot by ace cinematographer Ravi Varman while the film features music by Ramesh Narayan. Nithya Menen will be next seen in the Hindi ensemble space-based film Mission Mangal, directed by Jagan Shakti, in which the actor will be starring along with Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Akshay Kumar and Sharman Joshi.
