MAJOR OFFICIAL UPDATE ON VETRI MAARAN'S NEXT AFTER ASURAN: STATEMENT HERE

Post Asuran, Vetri Maaran's next directorial will be produced by Elred Kumar under the banner RS Infotainment. We had earlier reported that the the director will be joining hands with Soori for the first time for this project. The film will be based on a poem from late lyricist Na. Muthukumar's work Paattampoochi Virpavan.

In a press release, Elred Kumar talked about his collaboration with Vetrimaaran. He said "More than a producer, I am so much exhilarated in collaborating with a filmmaker like Vetrimaaran as a film buff. He has been one among the rarest league of filmmakers, who bridge the gap between offbeat and commercial cinema. The core themes of his movies are unique and at the same time, they are packaged and presented very well with commercially engrossing elements, which hasn’t just won the hearts of Tamil audiences, but beyond the linguistic boundaries as well."

He had also said that the rest of the cast and crew of this project will be announced shortly, and that he is looking forward to bring the best from this National Award-winning filmmaker.
