The film is directed by Atlee and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment.The film features A.R. Rahman's music and the cinematography of the film is handled by G.K Vishnu.

The first look posters of the film was released on June 21st on Thalapathy's birthday. Three posters were released in which one of the posters had Thalapthy in 4 stunning different looks. 'Singapenney', single track from the film will be releasing today (23rd July) for which Vijay fans are super pumped.

Recently, Behindwoods had an interesting interaction with celebrity photographer G. Venkat Ram. He shared amazing insights from the experience of working with Thalapathy. When asked about how is the experience of working with Thalapathy, he stated "Vijay sir is a man of few words. I first worked with him in in the film ' Madurai'. He knows the fan following he has and he is very responsible of that. He does little improvisations during the shoot and tries new things."

When he was asked what was his favorite look from the 4 avatars in the poster, he answered, "The older gentleman. He looks very intense with the Kaavi Dhothi and looks very different. The difference in age between the characters is very subtle and nice. It was all Atlee's idea". Later during the interaction, he stated "Every actor has their own style, Vikram sir will be very highly energetic and keep experimenting, but Vijay sir will be very calm and quiet".
