Though this lockdown might be helpful in preventing the virus from spreading more, it must also be noted that the daily wage earners are facing a major financial crisis because of this.
The Film Employees Union of South India (FEFSI) association's president R.K Selvamani had issued a statement, requesting help from the actors, actresses, and directors to contribute what they can for the wellbeing of the technicians in this time of hardship.
Starting with actor Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi's family, various members of the industry have been contributing financially and through rice bags. Now, the latest addition to the list is Superstar Rajinikanth.
Rajinikanth has donated Rs. 50 lakh for FEFSI now and more donations from other members are also said to be coming in. Stay tuned to know more!
