Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsProducer Boney Kapoor, under his banner Bayview Projects LLP, had bankrolled the Ajith Kumar-starrer Nerkonda Paarvai, a legal drama that featured Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami, Andrea Tariang in central roles while Rangaraj Pandey, Arjun Chidambaram, Adhik Ravichandran and others played crucial roles.
Post which, he had earlier announced an interesting project titled Maidaan. This upcoming sports-drama features Ajay Devgn and will feature National Award-winning actress PriyaMani who has acted in over 50 films across all South languages and has won numerous awards including three Filmfare awards in her prolific career.
Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta, the film is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of ‘Badhai Ho’ fame. The film was scheduled to release on November 27, 2020 but was pushed owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Taking to his social media, producer Boney Kapoor has confirmed the new release date of this film. He tweeted, “2021 Independence week. An untold story that will make every Indian proud. 13th August mark the date. #Maidaan2021”
