Popular actress Vidya Balan is marking her debut in Kollywood with Thala Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai. It is the official remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Pink’ directed by Vinoth.H which is produced by Boney Kapoor. It was earlier reported that the shooting for the film has been wrapped up.
The film also features Shraddha Srinath, newcomer Abirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in the prominent roles. Rangaraj Pandey and Adhik Ravichandran will act in pivotal roles. While Nirav Shah is the cinematographer of the film, the cuts of the film will be handled by Gokul Chandran.
Vidya Balan has confirmed her next biggie which is the biopic on the supremely talented Shakuntala Devi. The biopic is on the extraordinary story of the human computer. Directed by Anu Menon, the film is produced by Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia. The film is expected to release by 2020’s Summer.
For the unversed, Shakuntala Devi was an Indian writer and mental calculator, popularly known as the "human computer". Her talent earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records. She had donned many hats over the years. Besides her love for mathematics, she was an astrologer, cookbook author and a novelist. She travelled the world demonstrating her mathematical ideas. Her book, The World Of Homosexuals, is also considered to be the first study of homosexuality in India.
