Recently, D. Imman tweeted a making video of the song 'Kannaana Kanney' on his official YouTube channel. The video captured the journey of the song's conception, starting from the composition to the recording. 

Sung by Sid Sriram, the song's lyrics is written by Thamarai. The song captured the emotions between a father and daughter, and the melodious number has spurned many cover versions, and the notable ones include a version by singer Nochipatti Thirumoorthy and the much recent guitar cover performed by a police officer from Kerala.D.

Imman will be teaming up with Siruthai Siva again for the Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe, which is produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures.
