Taran Adarsh is one of the most prominent film critics and trade analysts in India. He is one of the most respected film journalists from Bollywood, and he recently came down to Chennai to attend the audio launch of Sivakarthikeyan's Velaikkaran. We caught up with him for an exclusive interview, and he opened up about Mersal's international collections.

He said, "When I was highlighting the collections of the new sensational film, Mersal, I had certain people asking what my source is, what is the proof and the general trolls are always there. But I always make it a point to highlight '@rentrak.' Every international report of mine will have this tag, and not one person from South said it is a fake report. I had many retweets and many comments on Mersal.

They could be fighting among themselves, which is understandable. But there wasn't one person who said these collections were wrong because it was Rentrak. It is an agency which tracks the biggest of Hollywood films, the biggest of studios."
