Veere Di Wedding is a 2018 Hindi comedy film starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles, as four friends attending a wedding. It was directed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi.
The film ran into controversy after it had a scene involving Swara Bhaskar masturbating on screen. Following that, she became a target of trolls and abuses on the internet, months after the film released. Yesterday (29th April), Mumbai had it's Lok Sabha elections being conducted, and a man and a woman held placards that read "In this election, dont be like Swara Bhaskar use your finger wisely, vote wisely!"
Swara Bhaskar was quick to respond to this. She took to Twitter to tackle this by saying: "Awwwwwww!!!!! My trolls are hard at work again, sweating it out in the heat to popularise my name..
