NEW FILM ANNOUNCEMENT ON JUNE 22? SUDHA KONGARA'S OFFICIAL WORD IS HERE!

Being an associate director for seven years with Mani Ratnam, Sudha Kongara made her debut with Drohi, and she has also directed the Tamil/Hindi Bilingual Irudhi Suttru/Saala Khadoos and Guru (Telugu). Her ongoing project is Suriya's Soorarai Pottru, the release of which has been stalled owing to the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown conditions.

Incidentally, rumour mills have been abuzz that the director will be updating about her latest project on the June 22, courtesy the fake accounts and corresponding tweets. Clearing the air on the same, the director has issued a statement, in which she has said - "Hi, I am not on twitter or any social media. When I do get on it I will officially announce it and do so. So kindly ignore the fake ID and don’t waste your time following it. Stay safe, stay home, and stay busy doing what you love and what you can do from home. Looking forward to life the other side of this devastating virus."

Despite pulling down the fake accounts, the director has mentioned that new ones keep spurting. Also, there is a similar account on Instagram too, which is also fake, as confirmed by the director.
