Sudha Kongara's next directorial is 'Soorarai Pottru' starring Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles. This film is Suriya's 38th film which is expected to release after K. V. Anandh's 'Kaapaan' which starres multiple stars including Mohanlal, Arya, Sayyeshaa and more for which Harris Jayaraj scores the music.
Soorarai Pottru is produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment in association with Guneet Monga and the cinematography for the film is done by Niketh Bommireddy. The music is composed by G. V. Prakash. Popular Telugu actor Mohan Babu also said to play a pivotal role in the film
The shooting for Soorarai Pottru film is on-going in full pace. There were speculations that the female lead Aparna Balamurali is to speak in Madurai slang in this film and now it has been revealed that it is true. It is speculated that some more characters in the story will be Madurai based.
