On the technical front, the cinematography is handled by MS Prabhu and the music of the film is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

The film has various social messages delivered in it's run-time and one of the core issue addressed is that of the farmers. Not just socially, the film has turned out very successful commercially too.

The Kaappaan team had recently celebrated the amazing response the film received with a success meet today (10th October) which was attended by the director and the key actors and crew. On this success, Lycra Productions issued a 'thank you' statement in which they have said "We are proud that Kaappaan has joined the elite league of films which has reached overall 100 crores collection" and that Lyca will continue doing more big projects like Kaappaan because of the response it has recieved.
