Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta starring Rajinikanth is running successfully in theatres. This movie is produced by Sun Pictures and it is the 165th film of Superstar. When Karthik Subbaraj talked to Behindwoods, he shared about his narration experience with Superstar and the scenes which impressed Rajini.
He shared with us,” When he listens to a narration, he only focuses on the story and the flow of the story and that is what impressed him. The character being a hostel warden, the mystery throughout interested him, he liked the revealing point of the character's motive and the interval block very much.”
“Overall, what impressed him the most was the realistic touch the movie had. Since Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi are shown as big shots in Uttar Pradesh, it will be impossible to just go there and fight them. Hence, to have a logical touch he travels all the way through road so as to not alert the enemies. He, then, tracks them down, observes them, learns about them, buys weapons and goes on,” explained Karthik Subbaraj.
He also revealed that Rajini was very happy on hearing about the climax sequence and said it was very fresh. Also, he said Rajini really loved his character graph and the emotional depth in the flashback scenes and was excited about the Madurai setup since its his next of the type after Murattukaalai. “There were lot of things like this that he liked and he was happy about,” said Karthik Subbaraj.
