OFFICIAL: POPULAR CHANNEL BAGS THE SATELLITE RIGHTS OF RAJINIKANTH'S DARBAR
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsFollowing the success of the Karthik Subbaraj's Petta, Superstar Rajinikanth will be playing the role of a cop in ace director AR Murugadoss' Darbar. Co-starring Nayanthara as female lead, the much-awaited action film also features Nivedha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Suniel Shetty and others.
Produced by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions, Darbar is set to release on Pongal next year. The official trailer was released this week and has garnered praise from the audience as well as members from the film industry.
Meanwhile, the satellite rights of Darbar was bagged by Sun TV and was officially announced on Twitter. Darbar is shot by acclaimed lensman Santosh Sivan while the film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will also be playing the lead in 'Thalaivar 168' directed by Siruthai Siva. Sun Pictures will be bankrolling the project and the cast includes Meena, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh, Soori, Sathish among others.
