Actress Trisha was last seen in Rajinikanth's Petta, as his pair in the movie. Petta was directed by Karthik Subbaraj and was produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film also included by mainstream stars like Vijay Sethupathi, Sasikumar, Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, Sananth, Megha Akash, and Malavika Mohanan in supporting roles.
Now, she has quite a few movies up her sleeve such as Garjanai, Paramapadham, Sathuranga Vettai 2, Raangi etc. Raangi's story is written by Director A R Murugadoss.
Raangi is directed by M Saravanan and produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. The cinematographer of the movie is K A Shaktivel and editor is M Subarak.
