STR has always been a heartthrobe - then and now. While fans were indeed disappointed at the brief gap during which his performances were widely missed, now, after Eeswaran, he is expected to be back with another power-packed project - Maanaadu and a couple of other exciting projects are lined up for the star.

His extended cameo in Maha has also been awaited for long. He is also expected to feature in 'Pathu Thala', the remake of Mufti, and another project with Gautham Menon which is touted to be titled as 'Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan'. STR's name has now hit the headlines for another reason altogether.

The actor's entry to social media was widely welcomed, and now within a year or in 31 weeks to be exact, he has hit 1M followers on the social media platform. Commemorating the same with a cute selfie from back in 2020, STR wrote - "Thanks a Million to the First Million ❤️#silambarasantr #atman." The still was apparently taken in 2020 at a college event in Chennai.
