Simbu was last seen on the big screens in the 2019 movie ‘Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven’. Although the film received mixed reviews, fans loved his performance. STR teams up with director Venkat Prabhu for his next. ‘Maanaadu’, and ever since the announcement, fans have been really excited for this project.

‘Maanaadu’ stars STR and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The movie is bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi and is one of the most anticipated films of STR. SJ Suryah also plays a pivotal role.

He has also signed a film to be directed by Suseenthiran. The upcoming film will be produced by T Rajendar under the banner, Simbu Cine Arts. For this fourth production of the banner, Simbu is said to have allotted 25 days and the shooting for the same kickstarted in Dindigul. Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead. It has been said that Thaman would score music for this project although this isn’t official as yet.
