One such actor who has issued a statement at this loss is actor Silambarasan who is also known as STR. In his press statement, he said, "It has been a difficult couple of days. Doctor Sethu, Chiranjeevi Sarja and Sushant Singh Rajput are my friends. Their death has affected me so much. I see this as a loss to the film industry. I see this as a loss of my best friends. I pray for their souls to rest in peace."

Offering condolences to the bereaving families, he further added that he has been hearing the sounds of ambulance sirens and the wails of people, who have lost their loved ones to Covid-19. He also extended his condolences to their families.

Speaking about Sushant Singh Rajput and urging fans, STR says, "Like AR Rahman's request, Sushant's Dil Bechara should release in theatres and become a hit venture. Death will not put a full stop to an artist's success. I hope Dil Bechara's success stands as a testament to this."
