Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsMufti was a popular Kannada movie released in 2017 - directed by Narthan. Featuring Prakash Belawadi, Shanvi Srivastava, Shivarajkumar in the lead roles, the film focussed on the story of an undercover cop. The movie was all set to be remade in Tamil.
Mufti's Tamil remake was to be helmed by Narthan, with STR and Gautham Karthik as the leads. The movie's sequences have been shot for about 13 days and apparently, since Narthan backed out of the movie earlier, some major changes were made to the team recently.
Suriya's blockbuster movie Jillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Krishna had taken up the project. The film will be bankrolled by K.E.Gnanvelraja under the banner of Studio Green. The movie has been titled ‘Pathu Thala’,and it is noteworthy that both K.E. Gnanavel Raja and director Obeli N. Krishna embarked on their respective journey in the showbiz together and finally the duo are collaborating for this project.
