Sivakarthikeyan's last film, Don, was released worldwide on 13.05.2022 and grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office. After Don, Sivakarthikeyan will be starring in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual SK20 film with Jathi Ratnalu director Anudeep KV.

The film is produced by Arun Viswa's Shanti Talkies, Sri Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP, Suresh Productions and produced by Sivakarthikeyan. Thaman composes the music. It has been rumored that actor Premji Amaran will play the villain in the film.

Actor Sathyaraj is all set to star with actor Sivakarthikeyan in this film after 8 years. The film also stars Naveen Polishetty. A few days ago, Sivakarthikeyan was paired with Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka in the film. This was officially announced by the film crew. She has worked on the Polish-Ukrainian film 'Eder' and is best known for her role as 'Natasha' in Disney + Hotstar's Spy Saga Special OPS 1.5.

The shooting of this film started on 10.02.2022 in Karaikudi, Sivagangai district in Tamil Nadu. The crew filmed in Baganeri village near Karaikudi. After Karaikudi, the film is currently being shot in Pondicherry.
