The Kannada film 'KGF' was released in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu in 2018. Following the success of the film in all languages, the second part is now in development. Prashant Neel, who directed the first part, is also directing the second part - 'KGF: Chapter 2'.

Following this highly anticipated film, Prashant Neel is directing Salaar in which Prabhas is the hero. The film is also produced by Homebale Films, which produced the KGF films. Shruti Haasan plays a vital role. Shruti has shared a pic from the sets today.
