For the past few days, the Social media was abuzz with many stories about director Shankar and his Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan. Reports said, legal notices were sent to the director from the producers to sign up an agreement committing to finish the movie within the estimated budget. There were also reports, that stated director Shankar has started to focus on a new Telugu film with Prabhas, funded by Pen Movies and has initiated talks.
We got in touch with our trustable sources to know the actual happenings of this project currently. We were strongly informed that there is no truth in reports that say director Shankar has started to work for a Telugu project leaving Indian 2 aside. He is said to be positive, focussed and waiting to commence shooting of his ambitious sequel.
With regards to the legal notice, the production team is said to have taken a decision to go into an agreement with the director to complete the shoot within the estimated budget and time. In response to the plan, it seems director Shankar is said to have amicably and professionally agreed to the deal as the proposed budget was something closer to what the direction team too have predicted much early in November last year when the project kickstarted.
Contrary to the reports outside, there doesn't seem to be any problem from the director who is charged up for another blockbuster with the Ulaganayagan and is waiting for the producer's word to commence the shooting.
