Shah Rukh Khan made his presence in TV shows when he was at his peak. He hosted 'Kaun Banega Crorepati,' one of India's popular shows. It was during this time that Indian Government honored Shah Rukh with the Padma Shri, and the Government of France awarded him both the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Legion d'honneur.
