POPULAR MALAYALAM SERIAL ACTRESS ARRESTED

Popular Malayalam actress Surya Sashikumar who had played various roles in TV serials is now allegedly arrested along with her sister Sruthy and her mother, Rema Devi, the main accused, for counterfeiting currency notes of 500 and 200.
 

The accused was printing fake currencies at their residential house.  Idukki Police chief KB Venugopal said that the accused had apparently allowed the upper portion of her premises at Kollam to be used for the illegal activity. She had also financed the cost for printing by spending about Rs 4.36 lakh, the official said.
 

The police conducted a detailed search in the accused's house based on the information given by three men who had earlier been arrested as part of the operation.
