He also participated in Jodi Number One Season 7 with Nancy Jennifer. In 2017, Karthik essayed the role of Adithyaa in the super-hit Tamil daily soap Sembaruthi and had quit from the serial.

The actor had recently opened up that he hasn't signed any projects because of the politics in the industry, and also that, at times he has been openly challenged to commit to any new project. So, he is starting his own production house - K Studios, and had requested his fans to contribute to the same.

Now, he has taken and shared his latest update on the new venture, “I am grateful for all those who contributed towards ‘K’ Studios so far. As I said in my previous video, I strongly believe, I can do this film only with my supporters help. I am happy that my supporters have the same mutual feelings. As per my loved ones advice, I would like to continue this without quitting. Still, we have a long way to go, to make this possible. Kindly continue your support till we reach this.
