SARATHKUMAR ON VISU'S FINAL PROCESSION - "DO THIS INSTEAD...VISU WOULD HAVE DONE THIS TOO..."

Apart from his contribution to the film industry, Visu was also recognised for his theatre work. His debate shows were one of the most-watched shows on television during their time. He was assistant to director K Balachander before he ventured into direction himself.

Celebrities including Rajinikanth, Vivek, Vignesh Shivan and others paid their last respects to the veteran in various mediums as everyone could not make it to Visu's residence in person due to the curfew. Actor Sarathkumar, on his Twitter handle, paid respects to the late director. In his statement, Sarathkumar requested to carry out Visu's procession in a certain way.

Sarathkumar expressed that all celebrities gathering up in his place now and the public commotion and crowd it will cause will not be right during this time of restrain. Instead, the actor requested people to wear a back shirt and make a video of their fond memories of Visu and to light candles when the procession is being carried out to pay their tribute. "In a similar situation, this is what Visu would have too," stated Sararthkumar.
