Santhanam's Sakka Podu Podu Raja to release on December 22

It was widely reported that there will be a big announcement at 7 pm today, concerning to Kollywood and the Christmas weekend.

Now it has been revealed that the announcement is about the theatrical release date of Santhanam's Sakka Podu Podu Raja. The film will be hitting the screens on December 22, for the Christmas weekend. Santhanam announced this through his tweet, "Happy to announce #SakkaPoduPoduRaja to be released worldwide on Dec 22nd #SPPRFromDec22nd more announcement coming up #AnSTRMusical #TridentArts release @vtv_productions @vtvganeshoff @I_am_Vaibhavi @Actor_Vivek @rajnarayanan11".

The music of the film, composed by STR, is expected to be launched by the first week of December. Directed by G.L.Sethuraman, the film also stars Vivek, VTV Ganesh and Vaibhavi Shandilya in important roles.

Director Rajesh - Santhanam film to start shooting from December

Thenandal Studios is tasting success at the box office with their latest outing, Mersal. Post Mersal, they are all set to begin their new venture, starring Santhanam in the lead role, with Rajesh. M donning the directorial hat.

We got in touch with the SMS and OKOK director to know about the status of the project. "My project with Santhanam, produced by TSL, will start from December. It will be an out and out comedy entertainer. We've tried something fresh in the script, something new, which people haven't seen in my previous films," he said.

Looks like we have something interesting in store.
