SANTHANAM'S LONG-DELAYED FILM FINALLY ALL SET FOR RELEASE; OTT OR THEATRES? GUESS WHO HINTED THE NEWS!

However, it is Santhanam's 'Server Sundaram' that fans are eagerly waiting for. The film directed by Anand Balki - who's making his directorial debut with the movie - has Santhanam playing the role of a Chef. The movie was completed long back but has been lying in cans for more than three years due to some financial problems. The release date was constantly pushed, but with many movies now releasing on OTT, it looks like this movie will too take the OTT route.

Incidentally, last year, the director asked for people's opinion if the movie can be released on OTT. The movie also reportedly has a Nagesh connect and it is said that the yesteryear legendary Actor-Comedian's grandson Bijesh has acted in an important role in the movie.

For the unversed, Nagesh had acted as the lead role in 'Server Sundaram' which was released in the year 1964. The movie showcases his rise from being a server in a hotel to a famous actor. The movie was a superhit during its times.

With strong speculations about an OTT release going rounds, Behindwoods contacted Bijesh, who has acted in the movie, to clarify about the information. He revealed that the movie is expected to release on an OTT platform and that news regarding the same will arrive soon. "I am also waiting for the announcement like you," he added.

The film also stars Bijesh, Kitty, Mayilsamy, Shanmugarajan, ‘Lollu Sabha’ Swaminathan, Radha Ravi in pivotal roles. Bankrolled by Selvakumar of Kenanya Films, the movie's music has been scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
