Here are a few tidbits from the film industry, presented as BW Quickies

 

- As reported earlier, Velai Illa Pattathari fame Hrishikesh is debuting as hero in the film RUM. The new inclusion to the cast list of this Anirudh musical is Sanchita Shetty and Miya George. Vivek plays a pivotal role and Narain is donning a challenging role in this film.

 

- The story of Darling 2 is plotted around five friends who go for an outstation trip with a haunted friend. "This idea sounded good and exciting to me. The humor that is strewn all around the horror based script assures the success", says K E Gnanavel Raja, who is planning to release the film around early March. 

 

- Navarasa Thilagam's director Kamran has voiced recently that the entire script of the film was narrated to the film's producer Sudharshan Vembatty on a three hour phone call, as he was out of the country at that time. Sudharshan seems to be the first ever producer who agreed to produce a film over a phone call, exclaims the director.

 

- Adharvanam is directed by Silandhi fame Adhirajan and produced by Digital Theaters. Haripriya, the leading lady of the film seems to have worked for a straight 12 hours for a swimming pool scene, from 6 pm to next morning 6 am, in the cold water. On nearing the end of the shoot, the damsel seems to have lost her energy and balance in the 12 feet deep pool water. When the crew noticed that she was suffocating, they jumped in and saved her immediately, sources say. 

 

- The pooja of Yaman, starring Vijay Antony, was conducted in the premises of Lyca productions recently. Following Naan, Vijay Antony and director Jeeva Shankar join hands to make this film. "The shooting of Yaman will commence in Chennai from this month (February) on a-non breaking schedule, and we are confident of a sure winner in Yaman”,  reported Raju  Mahalingam of Lyca.
