Vijay Antony turns a cop for his upcoming film Thimiru Pudichavan directed by Ganeshaa. He has directed a comedy entertainer before titled Nambiar. Nivetha Pethuraj has been roped in to play the female lead and she too dons the Khaki for this film.

Sun TV has acquired the satellite rights for this cop entertainer. Vijay Antony scores the music while the cinematography is handled by Richard M Nathan. The film is bankrolled by Vijay Antony Film Corporation. Thimiru Pudichavan will hit the screens for Diwali 2018 along with Sarkar and Billa Pandi.

Vijay Antony has a good market in Andhra Pradesh as well, thanks to the rousing success of Pichaikaaran in Telugu. Now the makers have released the Telugu teaser of Thimiru Pudichavan. The Telugu version is titled as Roshagadu:
