Director and famous story writer Erode Soundar has passed away owing to ill health. In this regard, the film industry has been grieving and expressing their condolences for the bereaved family of the veteran director and writer.He passed away due to kidney damage. He was 63.
Cheran Pandian is popular director KS Ravikumar's second film. The film became a super hit and was a turning point in Ravikumar's career. Similarly, the ‘Nattamai’ released in his direction also made record collections, catapulting him as one of the leading directors.
The story and script for these two films were written by director Erode Soundar. Not only this, he is also the narrator for the films such as Samudhiram. Erode Soundar directed the first super hit 'Muthal Seethanam' released in 1992 and 'Simmarasi' released in 1998 starring Sarathkumar.
Recently, he directed the film 'Ayya Ullen Ayya' with his grandson Kamalesh. In this, it is noteworthy that director KS Ravikumar has also been a part of the cast. Similarly, Soundar has acted in KS Ravikumar's films such as - Kamal Haasan's Dasavathaaram and Rajini's Linga.
