The South Indian Artistes Association, which is popularly known as the Nadigar Sangam, has completed its extended three-year term. It was announced that the polls for the next administration will be held soon.
The three-year term of the Nadigar Sangam was to actually end in October last year. However, at a general body meeting on August 2018, it was decided that elections would be postponed by six months. The decision was taken since a new building was to be inaugurated in 2019 as promised by Vishal’s team.
The Thalaivar of the Sangam, Nasser addressing to the press have shared the latest update on the upcoming elections. After the EC meeting of Nadigar Sangam, the members have decided that the retired Honourable Judge, Padmanabhan, would preside over the forthcoming elections and the office will be handed over to him from tomorrow i.e. on May 15.
From announcing the date of the polls and the venue of the elections, the retired Judge would make an important announcement on it. He will first choose the place from the options given by the current Nadigar Sangam members and then decide the date accordingly.
