Actress Jyothika will be seen playing the role of a well-disciplined teacher in Sy. Gowtham Raj's Raatchasi. The film's trailer and first look released earlier and has created some impact in social media platforms. The film is set to hit the screens of the 28th of June.
The makers have released a new lyrical video of a song featured in the film. Titled 'Rekka Namakku', this breezy number is sung by Srinidhi S. and composed by Sean Roldan. The song's lyrics are penned by the director Sy. Gowtham Raj himself.
Jyothika was last seen in Radha Mohan-directed Kaatrin Mozhi, in which she reprises the role of Vidya Balan's role in the original, Tumhari Sulu. The actress will also be a part of 'Gulaebaghavali' director Kalyaan's Jackpot, in which the actress will be starring along with veteran actress Revathy. The actress will also be seen in a yet-to-be titled film helmed by Jeethu Joseph, co-starring Karthi and Nikhila Vimal and others.
Raatchasi is bankrolled by SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu under the banner Dream Warrior Entertainment. The film is shot by 'Monster' fame cinnematographer Gokul Benoy and edited by Philomin Raj.
