It is well known that the shoot of Rajinikanth's Darbar is progressing at a good pace, and the team is canning important sequences in Mumbai. The film has Nayanthara as the female lead, while Yogi Babu will also be seen playing a crucial role. The project will be bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.
Well it seems like they are not the only ones shooting there. Mumbai has turned into a hotspot for the shoot of star-vehicle films this summer as Salman Khan is shooting for Dabangg 3 directed by Prabhu Deva. In addition to it, Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan are shooting for the Hindi remake of Kanchana, directed by Raghava Lawrence.
It must be noted that SJ Suryah's Uyarntha Manithan shoot is also happening at Mumbai currently, that also has Amitabh Bachchan playing an important role. All the above mentioned films will be releasing before the end of 2020.
Darbar is the 167th film of Rajinikanth's stellar career. He was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj's Petta, that had an ensemble cast involving Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran, Trisha, Sasikumar and others playing pivotal roles. Stay tuned for more updates.
