As a special tribute to K Balachander, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have recorded a small video individually, recollecting their fond memories with the man himself. An emotional Rajini and Kamal can be spotted on the videos, while they’re talking about their Guru.

Rajinikanth said “Even if K Balachander sir hadn’t introduced me, I would have become an actor. A small time actor in the Kannada Industry, who would have been forgotten by now. I am here with this much wealth and fame, only because of him. Everytime he comes to the set, he commands respect from everyone, including the smallest of technicians on the spot. He had this majestic aura with him, which can never be replaced.”

Speaking about K Balachander, Kamal said “KB Sir is not only a guru for me, but for numerous other stars in the industries - not only actors, but for various technicians. He has the credit of introducing a vast number of icons in the Industry. I had the fortune of making him act in my story, Uthama Villain. He will never be forgotten and his fame will live and spread for eternity.”
