When asked about whether the female protagonist of his show Raja Rani, Alya Manasa, will be a part of Bigg Boss as the final contestant of the show, Praveen replied "I don't think so. She will always consult me before taking such decisions." His wife quipped in, saying "This is Bigg Boss, anything can happen, what if the show needs a big break and decides to cast her."

The actor had earlier worked with Kavin in the hit mega-serial Saravanan Meenatchi. He said "He is very silent on the sets. I had never seen him so agitated, except for once, he just got a bit miffed on the sets." Praveen had also revealed that they had approached Abhirami to play the role of Meenatchi in the show Saravanan Meenatchi, but the offer didn't materialize.

Sai Pramoditha had also claimed that she is the Bigg Boss of her house. When asked about their respective contestants, without a blink, Praveen replied Losliya while Sai Pramoditha likes Sandy. Praveen had also said that he felt a bit disappointed when Kavin flirted with both Sakshi and Losliya.
