PUDUCHERRY CM GIVES 'TAX-RELIEF' STATUS TO A MUCH-AWAITED FILM FOR THIS REASON
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsPuducherry government, headed by Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy has granted tax relief to the Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak, a drama directed by Meghna Gulzar. The Chief Minister has also lauded the film for giving a clear picture on women's issues.
Chhapaak deals with the story of Malti, an acid attack survivor who breaks all barriers with a legal battle on the other hand. The film is inspired by real life incidents of many acid attack survivors. Chhapaak is produced by Fox Star Studios in association with Deepika Padukone, Meghna Gulzar and Govind Singh Sandhu.
The film also stars Vikrant Massey, Vishal Dahiya, Ankit Bisht in principal roles, Chhapaak is shot by Malay Prakash while Nitin Baid handles the editing department. Chhapaak is set to hit the screens on January 10, 2020.
