90mL is a movie directed by Alagiya Asura, and produced by NviZ Entertainment, that had an ensemble cast comprising of Oviya, Bommu Lakshmi, Masoom Shankar, Shree Gopika, Monisha, Anson Paul & Tej Raj. Actor Simbu also played a cameo in the female centric film.
The film released on March 1, and shortly ran into controversy, as many people criticized the film for showcasing women drinking, smoking, intaking drugs, and also a homosexual relationship between 2 women.
Producer Dhananjayan was one of the people, who opposed the kind of content shown in such films. Speaking about this controversy, he said "Youngsters get spoilt when given the smallest of chances. They don't know that 90% of them are addicted to drugs. Some of them are becoming homosexual too.
While being homosexual isn't wrong, the government has legalized it. But, it is not wrong as long as it is glorified. Bollywood films never celebrated it. It is a choice to be a homosexual. The law is allowing it."
