Premam that rocked South India…

Alphonse Puthren is one of the popular directors in the Tamil cinema. He had wowed the fans with his 2013 release Neram. After 2 years, he directed Premam (2015) which became a huge hit in South Indian languages. The film featured Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran opposite Nivin Pauly. All three are now leading actresses in South Indian cinemas. Alphonse has directed only two films so far, almost 10 years after entering the industry but he is the favorite director for most of them.

Films after Premam

After Premam, Alphonse had announced that he would be directing Paatu which features Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara. Accordingly, the director said that he had learned music for the film and was set to compose it himself. Post which, he had announced helming Prithviraj and Nayanthara for Gold which is said to be shot before Paatu.

The makers of GOLD, an action thriller, had already announced that the filming is over and dubbing is underway. Pictures of Nayanthara in the shooting spot were released and attracted a lot of attention. Now, Alphonse has just released an update about the teaser of the movie.

7 years later

Alphonse wrote, "After a small gap of seven years I am back with my film. 'GOLD' teaser is releasing in youtube in magicframes' channel today evening by 6pm. This Friday...March 25the the teaser of Gold is relasing in theatres. Need all your prayers and wishes. you watch it and tell me." Fans of both Tamil and Malayalam are eager to see the teaser of Alphonse Puthiran's next film after the mega hit 'Premam'.
