Actor Powerstar Dr. Srinivasan, who has acted in a lot of films like Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, Kavan, Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, and more. He was last seen in Guru Somasundaram's Odu Raja Odu, where he played a cameo.
Powerstar took part in the recent Lok Sabha elections, and contested from Chennai South Constituency, representing the Republican Party of India. At 6pm, he got a total of 466 votes, which accounts for 0.06% of the total votes cast.
The constituency saw T Sumathy (a) Thamizhachi Thangapandian of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam lead by a margin of 1,73,738 votes. Powerstar is considered to be one of the popular comedians in Tamil Nadu, with a lot of people mimicking his mannerisms.
