The 1.34-minute-long teaser has Suriya instructing a woman to describe the events clearly without missing out any details. As the teaser progresses, we see the actor engaging in protests and fighting to give the rights that belong to the tribal woman. As police beat up women and children mercilessly, the woman pleads to Suriya to save her and her family. The trailer is heavy on political and caste discourse and attempts to spark a conversation around it.

'Jai Bhim' was recently censored with an 'A' certificate and has a runtime of 164 minutes. It is to be noted that Suriya’s 'Raththa Sarithiram', directed by Ram Gopal Varma which was released in 2010 was the last Suriya film that was certified as 'A'. Apart from the actor, the film will feature Prakash Raj, 'Karnan' fame Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose, Manikandan amongst others in pivotal roles in the movie. The motion poster of the film was released a few days back.

Suriya's upcoming film is the third movie from his production house 2D Entertainment which is all set to be released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie is part of the four-film deal with the OTT platform. Arisil Moorthy's 'Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum' was released on September 24 while Jyotika's 'Udan Pirappe' directed by Era Saravanan was released on October 14, coinciding with the festive date of Ayudha Pooja.

Suriya was last seen in the short 'Guitar Kambi Mele Nindu' directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon in the nine-part Netflix Anthology 'Navarasa'. Up next he has Pandiraj's 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' and Vetrimaaran's 'Vaadivaasal' in the pipeline. He's also making a cameo appearance in Madhavan's upcoming film 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' which is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the ISRO who was accused of espionage.
