Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsPopular actor Jayan S, also known as Adithyan was arrested in a dowry harassment case after his wife Ambili Devi, also an actor, lodged a complaint alleging that he had misappropriated gold ornaments of about 100 sovereigns and the Rs 10 lakh in her account and also subjected her to severe mental and physical harassment.
She also claimed that Adithyan used to abuse and threaten her. A case was registered against him for dowry harassment, criminal intimidation and uttering obscene words in a public place after her complaint.
The popular Malayalam actor was later released on bail after the Kerala High Court asked him to furnish a bond of Rs 1 lakh with two sureties of the like amount. The court also directed him to not cause any disturbance to his wife's work life and not give any interviews or post on social media regarding their marriage.
The couple married in January 2019 and have a son who was born in November that year.
