He observed mild symptoms almost 8 days ago and had managed to get rid of them using the regular course of medicines. The situation aggravated all of a sudden a day ago and he was admitted to the hospital.
He was kept on a ventilator as his oxygen saturation levels went down alarmingly low. He couldn't respond well but succumbed to the virus Monday morning.
TNR has always been famous for his interviews - he has the rarest record of interviewing the film celebrities for hours together. He is also busy these days portraying some important characters in various films.
