WOW!!! A 24 YEAR LONG WAIT FOR RAJINIKANTH TO END WITH PETTA?

The shoot of Rajinikanth's Petta was completed a few days back 15 days prior to the actual scheduled plan. Since the complete shoot is done, there are speculations online that Petta might release for Pongal 2019. 

Pongal is always a special festival in Tamil Nadu, not just for the cultural reasons but also for the films that release. Generally, big star films steal the show but it is surprising to know that Superstar Rajinikanth hasn't had a Pongal release in the last 23 years. His last Pongal release was Baasha which released in the year 1995. So if Petta releases for Pongal 2019, Rajinikanth would be ending a 24-year long wait.

In fact, Superstar's last festival release was Chandramukhi which released for Tamil New Year, 13 years back. A Rajinikanth film doesn't require a festival as the film by itself is a festive treat for his fans. Nevertheless, it would be a refreshing experience for the audience to watch a 'pakka' Rajinikanth film during a festival like Pongal.
